David Camper
David is a data analyst, historian, and poet laureate who values the impact of community, data, and the arts. A native of Fairfield, CA, he holds a B.A. in history from Jackson State University and an M.S. in computational social science from UC Berkeley. David brings more than four years of experience in the financial services field, has partnered with the Eviction Research Network to analyze data and map trends in eviction rates, and spent three years serving as poet laureate for Suisun City, CA. In that role, he collaborated with environmental advocacy organizations such as Sustainable Solano and Greenbelt Alliance to organize community events that uplifted the next generation of climate leaders and educators. David brings a blend of social sciences, data science, and a passion for building a more equitable world, all of which he is excited to contribute to the education space as a member of the Ten Strands team.
