Allyson Reeds
Allyson Reeds serves as the Physical Education Coordinator for the Orange County Department of Education, where she leads with a steadfast commitment to equity, student wellness, and instructional excellence. With over two decades of experience in education, Allyson is a passionate advocate for the transformative power of physical activity, whole-child wellness, and inclusive practices that uplift all learners. She holds a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction, a California teaching credential in physical education, and an adapted physical education specialist credential. Most recently, Allyson earned her doctor of education degree through the prestigious Global Executive EdD program at the USC Rossier School of Education, where she studied international education systems and engaged in global discourse on leadership and equity. An accomplished marathon runner and cross-country coach, Allyson integrates movement, reflection, and purpose into all facets of her work. Her areas of expertise include developing standards-aligned K–12 physical education curricula, facilitating statewide professional development, designing inclusive programs for students with disabilities, and spearheading schoolwide events that foster connection, culture, and well-being. She is also known for her dynamic presentations that combine evidence-based strategies with inspiration and energy, leaving educators motivated to lead wellness-focused change on their campuses. A proud alumna of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District, Allyson now resides in the same community with her husband, their two children, and their four-legged Goldendoodle running partner, Gigi. Her work continues to inspire school leaders to reimagine physical education as a powerful force for learning, connection, and lifelong health.
