Shawn Rundell, PT, DPT
Shawn Rundell (she/her) is the founder of Together in Nature Consulting, PLLC and a pediatric physical therapist, educator, and consultant who strives to ensure people of all ages, abilities and identities, especially children and their families, can access nature. She is a disability advocate and ally. Shawn does not currently identify as disabled but considers herself to be disability adjacent. She has experience working with disabled children and their families for nearly eighteen years in a variety of roles and settings including schools, homes and parks. She has collaborated with community members to codesign accessible and inclusive outdoor spaces, most notably Pathways Park in Seattle, Washington. Shawn was an instructor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Washington for fourteen years. She has presented at several local and national physical therapy and nature-based conferences on topics including child development, pediatric physical therapy, disability and nature, trauma-informed care, and inclusive physical therapy and teaching strategies. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, reading, and being active outdoors in the Pacific Northwest.
