Sarah Pedemonte

Sarah Pedemonte is a science learning specialist at the Lawrence Hall of Science. She is part of the learning and teaching group, which offers professional support to districts and schools, and informal science learning institutions to build their capacity to provide equitable, high-quality science and environmental literacy programs. Ms. Pedemonte has 25 years of experience teaching in informal settings and public schools and 10 years as a university lecturer. She has expertise in developing curriculum for grades K-12, undergraduate, and pre- and in-service teachers, with materials covering ocean sciences, climate, and climate data-related content. Ms. Pedemonte currently directs a project seeking to broaden participation in the geosciences among communities that are underrepresented in the STEM fields.
