Laura Walls
Laura Walls currently teaches Medical Biology at Duncan Polytechnical High School in Fresno, California. She has served as a classroom teacher for 11 years. Besides teaching Biology, Laura has experience teaching Physics, Earth Science, Anatomy and Physiology and even Cosmetology Science. She currently serves as an EEI Teacher Ambassador and hosts EEI-Live! Webinars twice a month. Laura has a passion for science writing and serves as a Teacher Consultant with the San Joaquin Valley Writing Project. She has taken leadership roles in district level Instructional Leadership Teams. Laura has an affinity for special education students since her three sons all have dyslexia. She also loves working with English Language Learners and has hosted four German exchange students. Laura has a BA in Science Education from the University of Akron (Ohio) and is working on a Master’s in Instructional Technology from Fresno State University. She considers herself to be a “science and technology nerd” and writes a blog called EdTech Strategy.
