Carlie Cooney

Carlie is the Land Program Manager at the Marine Science Institute, a non-profit environmental education organization. In this role she takes part in the hiring, training, and scheduling of the Marine Education staff. She also oversees the logistics off all land-based educational programs and ensures the safety of their programs and facility. Before joining the Marine Science Institute family, she taught environmental education in a variety of indoor and outdoor settings. She worked with students aged pre-K through college as well as members of the public, teaching subjects such as marine biology, oceanography, ecology, environmental science, and California history. She is passionate about marine science education and loves working with kids.
