Betsy Mitchell, PhD, is the UC Berkeley Natural History Museums coordinator for Exploring California Biodiversity’s outreach program. Dr. Mitchell has 15 years of experience managing science outreach projects, developing inquiry-based and NGSS science activities for students, doing workshops for teachers, and supervising graduate students working in K–12 classrooms and field settings. She is trained as a scientist, and has taught natural science to undergraduates, teachers, and K–12 students in informal and formal settings.
